Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions will govern your use of the TalkingBooksPlus.com website. When you use, visit or browse our Website, you accept and agree to be bound by Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the TalkingBooksPlus.com website.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

TalkingBooksPlus.com website reserves the right, from time to time, with or without notice to you, to change these Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion. The most current version of these Terms and Conditions can be reviewed on this website by clicking “Terms and Conditions” and will supersede any previous versions. Your use of the TalkingBooksPlus.com website after changes made means that you agree to be bound by such changes.


Any and all information submitted to TalkingBooksPlus.com website is subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

Membership and Billing

Your present membership is reflected in this section. Changes may be accomplished by going to My Account.

You do not need to join a membership plan to just view the website.


If you wish to rent books from TalkingBooksPlus.com, you will need to complete the Sign-Up Form page. Completing the Sign-Up Form, includes choosing a membership plan, providing a valid name and contact information and providing a valid credit card number and expiration date. Clicking the SUBMIT button gives TalkingBooksPlus.com permission to charge your Credit Card number on file the amount due indicated by the plan you have chosen. (ex. The Associate Plan - 2 books Monthly Plan - we will charge the credit card on file $26.75 per month. For Colorado Residents - sales Tax of 4.1% will be added to the price of any membership plan)


You are responsible for ensuring that the email address you submit to the Site as part of your Sign-up to TalkingBooksPlus.com and during the course of your membership is valid and that the services, software or systems you use to access your email ("email Systems") do not block or filter TalkingBooksPlus. Please note that your work email may be subject to additional limitations placed on its use by your employer. We ask that you use your personal email address when registering as a member. If you choose to register with your work email, or use an email system that interferes with the delivery of TalkingBooksPlus, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.

The customer accepts responsibility for ensuring that any additional information (such as Mailing and/or Billing Address, Phone Number and Credit Card billing Information) are updated as needed.


If you wish to upgrade or downgrade your plan, you will need to change your program type in the My Account page.


The date of your first charge (your sign-up date) will be your anniversary date. On your anniversary date you will be charged at the then current billing price in effect for the plan you have chosen. You anniversary date will be either 30 days, 90 days, 120 days or 1 year from the date of your sign-up date based on the plan you have chosen. If you wish, you may change your particular plan to a lesser or greater one then currently in effect, but you must notify us prior to the anniversary date.

Canceling Your Membership

1.Canceling Your Membership: If you wish to cancel your membership, you must email TalkingBooksPlus.com at support@TalkingBooksPlus.com. After notifying us of your request to cancel, all outstanding audio books must be returned to us within seven days of your cancellation notification and prior to your next anniversary date. If all books are not returned and your anniversary date passes, TalkingBooksPlus.com will charge your credit card on file for another term of membership fee.

2. Cancellation Fees: All fees relating to Membership Plans, including the initial fees and any subsequent automatic renewal fees (as further described below), are non-refundable.

3. Automatic Renewal Program. Upon your acceptance of an offer for Rental Services, you will be enrolled in Talking Books Plus’ automatic renewal program to help ensure that there is no interruption of your member privileges. Under this program, you authorize Talking Books Plus to automatically renew your subscription at the end of the term of the subscription you purchased, and each subsequent term, for the same term length of the subscription you initially purchased (unless otherwise stated in the offer you accepted). Unless you take the necessary steps to cancel your membership with Talking Books Plus, prior to the time of each such renewal you authorize Talking Books Plus to charge your credit card at the then-current price for the renewal of your rental services. Email of cancellation is the only form accepted as then each party will have proof of the membership cancellation.


Customer Liability

All audiobooks will be sent complete from TalkingBooksPlus's Colorado location in secure boxes with a return Pre-Paid Postage label. 

Rental Members must take care of the CD's and Tapes in their possesion so that they come back to TalkingBooksPlus.com in the same condition as they were sent. We realize that Tapes do wear after so many uses and may break during normal use. We also realize that CD's can scratch which can make them unlistenable. In those cases we will send either replacments or have you send them back to us and take them out of inventory.

*If however Tapes or CD's are returned and are not able to be repaired or replaced, (such as crushed tapes or a cracked CD) the Renter Member will be responsible for the Full Retail Price of the book.


1.When sending CD and Tapes back to Talking Books Plus, please use the original box the CD's or Tapes came in.

2.All books come with a pre-paid postage label for their return back toTalking Books Plus.

3.Attach the enclosed label of the incoming label with claer packing tape.

4. Close the box and tape the open sides of the box with a strong Packing Tape. Tape on All Three Sides of the CD' Box and on One Side for the Tape Boxes. *Use the same type of tape as if you were sending a really important package to a relative or friend accross the country

(WARNING -DO NOT USE Scotch Tape or any tape that you would use on a gift - as that type of tape has a tendency to break and crack in transit easily. When this happens CD's and Tapes have been know to escape from their boxes on the way back to us)

If boxes are received by TalkingBooksPlus with Tape(s) or CD(s) missing, the following steps will be taken.

1.An EMAIL will be sent to the Rental Member, advising the person of the missing parts. The Rental Member must advise TalkingBooksPlus by return of the status of the missing parts within five days of the email.

2.If no response is given or the Tape(s) or CD(s) are not returned after 10 days of the email sent, the Rental Member will be charged for the Full Retail Price of the book.

Members Credit Card information will be retained on file and will be used to charge the customer in the instances of lost or damaged audio books at the full retail cost..
